Ukraine 3000 and Lithuanian Embassy present fridges to children

The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and the Lithuanian Embassy in Ukraine presented SNAIGE refrigerators to the Center for Children Oncohematology and the Children’s Department of the Oncology Institute.

Viktoras Baublis, Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine, Vira Pavlyuk, Hospital to Hospital Coordinator, Svitlana Donska, Chief Children’s Hematologist of Ukraine,  and Serhiy Pavlyk, Director of the Children’s Department of the Oncology Institute, took part in this ceremony.

These medical facilities need charitable help to improve living conditions for the children and their parents, who live in specialized rooms while their kids undergo treatment.

Ms. Pavlyuk noted that these “simple and necessary appliances will make their stay easier. Sometimes it takes two months to rehabilitate after surgeries.”

In his speech, Mr. Baublis stressed that it was important to render this kind of aid: “We discussed lots of ideas with our colleagues to take part in this project, but we decided the best thing to do would be to help the children. This is our contribution to the future of this country and the future of the Ukrainian nation.”

The Ambassador thinks each society has people that never forget there are people in need. He added that Lithuanian entrepreneurs were happy to help the Ukrainian children.

The participants of the event wished all little patients and their parents confidence, faith, tenacity and fast recovery. 

The Ukraine 3000 Foundation and the Center for Children Oncohematology are implementing a joint project to provide the center with necessary equipment to transplant stem sells. Every year, almost 400 Ukrainian children are diagnosed with leucosis.
