Ukraine 3000 Foundation Representatives Take Part in Germany – Ukraine: New Standards in Philanthropy Press Conference

May 27, 2009, S’Einlädele German-based Christian humanitarian organization held a press conference, Germany – Ukraine: New Standards in Philanthropy. Thousands of Saved Lives Are Just a Start, at the Kyiv Amosov Clinic conference hall.

Amobng the participants of the event were S’Einlädele head Sister Inge Kimmerle,head of the children’s department at Amosov Cardiovascular Surgery Institute Prof. Mykhaylo Zinkovsky, President of the Otchiy Dim [Father’s House] Foundation Roman Korniyko, and Head of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Development Programs Dept. Andriy Kotsiuba.

The event summed up the 16 years of S’Einlädele’s work in Ukraine and announced the changes in its leadership: the organization’s founder and permanent head Sister Inge Kimmerle turns over her duties to her younger successor because of her retirement.

The S’Einlädele Christian humanitarian organization deals with providing Ukraine with know-hows, equipment, and financing for creating successful local businesses who donate their profits to charities/ “One of our most important tasks is to teach people how to help themselves,” Sister Inge says.

In part, owing to the equipment donated to the Amosov Clinic, over 700 complicated heart surgeries have been performed, saving children’s lives. Every month S’Einlädele sends humanitarian cargos to Ukraine. The organization has founded and supports three shelters for street children in Kyiv and Zhytomyr. One of them, Otchiy Dim Social Care Center, had been honored with several state awards of Ukraine for its contribution into socialization of homeless children. A number of projects has been launched to help elderly people, in part, victims of the Babyn Yar events.

The organization is carrying out all its projects together with Ukrainian partners. Several projects designed for supporting children were implemented jointly with Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation.

In part, the press conference participants recalled the recent S’Einlädele and Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s joint action: a visit to the Otchiy Dim Social Care Center together with representatives of Verlagsgruppe Passau publishing house (Germany).
