The Ukrainian booth will operate till February 20. This year it will present to European movie professionals and the public two full-length films: Anya, Volga, Rock-n-roll by Kostiantyn Konovalov (February 12 at 12:15 PM, Marriott 2 hall) and A Million to Heaven by Ihor Kopylov (February 1 at 1:00 PM, Marriott 1).  »»

Ukrainian Cinema at 61st Berlinale: Three Demonstrations at Euroean Film Market and Full-Length Film in Competition

The participation of Oleksandr Mindadze’s On Saturday in the competition has become an outstanding event for the Ukrainian cinema. The film’s plot is based on a real story taking place April 26, 1986, on the day of the Chernobyl explosion. The film is a joint production by Ukraine, Germany, and Russia. The premiere is scheduled for February 14.  »»

Foundation Members Take Part in Mourning Events on Day of the Memory of Holodomors Victims

On that day in Kyiv representatives of political parties and public organizations, youth movements, the Congress of National Communities – at least 5,000 people all-in-all, - went on a march from Arsenalna Sq. to the National Holodomor Memorial, where heads of various churches celebrated a memorial service. People coming to the Memorial brought with them not just candles but also apples and wheat ears to place on the monument to the children of Holodomor.  »»

Addressing the audience, Mr. Maksymchuk said, “The Holodomor Victims in Ukraine Memorial is Ukraine’s only museum of this type and this level. Thus, the Ukraine 3000 Foundation decided to hand over the accounts it has collected precisely to this institution.
