Halahanivka Village, Snihuriv District, Mykolayiv Oblast, Celebrates 175th Anniversary

July 9, 2010, Halahanivka village, Snihuriv district, Mykolayiv oblast, celebrates the 175th anniversary of its foundation.

The festive program will summarize the Halahanivka Talents project by Treasure Trove of Good Deeds PO, finalist of the small cultural and art project support program by Ukraine 3000 Foundation. The project envisaged, in part, creating embroidery and photography studios along with other measures aimed to help the villagers develop their creativity and make their spare time more interesting.

At the celebration, the winners were awarded in the nominations, Jack of All Trades, the Best Needlewoman, the Best Master of the Household, Village Activist, the Best Lady of the House. The participants of the project demonstrated their talents in a concert. A display of vyshyvanka shirts, made by participants of the embroidery studio, was arranged specially for the celebration.

For the guests, tours were organized to the local history museum and other places of interest.
