Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Kyiv College Students Tidy Up Bykivnia Graves National Historical and Memorial Preserve
Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation has for the fourth time initiated cleaning up the grounds of Bykivnia Graves National Historical and Memorial Preserve.
May 15, 2010, on the eve of the mourning events dedicated to the memory of victims of political repression, the Ukraine 3000 Foundation took part in the preparations at the preserve grounds. Students of the History Education Institute at the National Drahomanov Pedagogical Institute and Kyiv Polytechnic Institute were working together with the Foundation members.
The participants of the action scavenged the sites of mass burials of Ukrainian intelligentsia members, killed by NKVD in 1937.
Recall that in 2007 the Foundation together with PLAST National Scouting Organization conducted a patriotic action, Memory above Time. In the following years, on the eve of the Day of the Memory of the Victims of Political Repression, members of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation cleaned up sites of mass burials of Ukrainian intelligentsia.
