Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Supports Third Declamation Festival
The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation supported the Third Declamation Festival, timed to coincide with the birthday of Panas Saksahansky, and contributed to the prize fund.
The Foundation donated 20 book sets for awarding the winners, which include such books as The Man, Ukraine’s Hetmans, and Personalities. The awards ceremony was held at the Museum of the Outstanding Figures of Ukrainian Culture: Lesia Ukrayinka, Mykola Lysenko, Panas Saksahansky, and Mykhaylo Starytsky.
This year’s festival’s theme was the works of Bohdan Ihor Antonych, an outstanding Ukrainian modernist poet. Among its participants were students of boarding schools for orphans and children deprived of parents’ care, in part, the Extended Care Boarding School No. 20 for children with minor and inactive forms of tuberculosis, Bucha Boarding School, Kyiv Railroad Transport College, and Kyiv Power Engineering College. The participants of the festival recited verses by Bodan Ihor Antonovych.
