Ukrainian Cinema Foundation and Nemiroff International Brand Name to Present Ukrainian Cinema in Cannes
April 29, 2010, at 12:00 a.m., the Cinemateque hall of the Kyiv Movie Theater cultural center (19 Chervonoarmiyska St.) will host a press conference dedicated to the presentation of Ukrainian cinema at the Cannes film festival.
Among the participants of the press conference will be Andriy Khalpakhchi, Director of the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation; Maryna Antonova, Deputy Head of the Board of Directors of Ukraine 3000 Foundation; Nataliya Konovalova, Director for Corporative Communications and Public Relations with Nemiroff Company; Kamaliya, actress and singer; Oleksandr Shapiro, director; producers Ooleh Kokhan, Anton Komiakhov, and Valentyna Podhorna; Oleksandra Mykolyshyn, Executive Director of the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation; Oleh Malyshevsky, Executive Director of Yalta-Film; Serhiy Fomenko, Mandry group’s lead singer, et. al.
In 2010 Ukraine for the first time will be represented in Competition with the film Shchastia moye [My Happiness] (director Serhiy Loznytsia, producer Oleh Kokhan). A Ukrainian stand will operate for two weeks at the Cannes Film Marker at Village International, presenting three new Ukrainian movies.
