Seven organizations in five Ukraine’s oblasts qualified for the finals of the second stage of the Small Cultural and Artistic Projects Support program
March 18, 2010, the results of the second stage of the Small Cultural and Artistic Projects Support program were announced at the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation premises. Members of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation and heads of the organizations-finalists were present at the event.
The heads of the competitor organizations presented their projects, describing their goals, their uniqueness and relevance for the development of the Ukrainian culture. The Ukraine 3000 Foundation members explained the mechanisms of further cooperation on the projects’ implementation and covering their results.
By the decision of the panel of experts of the Small Cultural and Artistic Projects Support program, the following organizations became finalists of the second stage:

The second stage of the Small Cultural and Artistic Projects Support program was launched August 26, 2009. The total of over 100 applications from all Ukraine’s regions was submitted. The proposals were divided into sox groups: music, literature, arts, theater, folk arts and crafts, and interdisciplinary projects. Six experts were invited to the panel of judges, each selecting projects on their area of expertise. The head experts were:
- Serhiy Yakutovych, Merited Artist of Ukraine and corresponding member of the Academy of the Arts of Ukraine;
- Oleksandr Chayka, Deputy Director of the Les Kurbas Center;
- Alla Zahaykevych, composer, professor’s assistant at the National Tchaikovsky Music Academy of Ukraine;
- Oleksiy Dolia, research fellow with the Literary and Memorial Museum-Apartment of Pavlo Tychyna;
- Vladyslav Pioro, Director of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s Culturology Dept.;
- Sofiya Riabchuk, expert with the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s Culturology Dept.
The Small Cultural and Artistic Projects Support program was announced June 26, 2008. Its major goal is encouraging self-actualization and development of a cultural sector, independent from the state, which is unable to implement its projects without external support.
