Ukrainian Cinema Foundation and Nemiroff Company Present Ukrainian Cinema at Berlinale 2010
February 4, 2010, at 12:00 a.m., the Cinemateca Hall of the Kyiv cinema theater (19 Chervonarmiyska St., Kyiv) will host a press conference by the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation, Nemiroff Company, and Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation on the presentation of the Ukrainian cinema at the 60th Berlin Film Festival.
To take part in the event are:
- Andriy Khalpakhchi, Director of the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation;
- Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Board of Directors of Ukraine 3000 Foundation
- Taras Yermakov, Head of the External Affairs Dept. of the Nemiroff Company;
- Myrodlav Slaboshpytsky, film director;
- Olena Slaboshpytska, film producer;
- Volodymyr Tykhy, film producer.
The 60th Berlin Film Festival will take place February 11-21, 2010. For three years in a row the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation and Nemiroff Company have been presenting the attainments of the Ukrainian cinema at one of the world’s most influential film forums. The Ukrainian cinema will be presented in the anniversary Berlinale’s competition section, and the European Film Market will traditionally feature Ukraine’s stand, which will present the Ukrainian Film Catalogue for 2009/2010, presenting information on Ukrainian films released in 2009 and those in production, to be released in 2010.

The Ukrainian Cinema Foundation was created under the auspices of Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation in 2007. Its major goal is familiarizing foreign cinema experts and public with classic and modern Ukrainian films and promoting the Ukrainian cinema globally.
The cooperation between the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation and Nemiroff Company began in May 2008. Since then, owing to the two organizations’ joi8nt actions, presentations of the Ukrainian cinema had been held at the world’s biggest film festivals and film markets and days of the Ukrainian cinema held in various European countries..
