Ukraine 3000 Foundation Greeted Archive Workers on Professional holiday

December 24, 2008, members of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation took part in a grand meeting dedicated to the Day of Archive Workers and 15th anniversary of the law of Ukraine On the National Archive Fund and Archive Institutions.

Deputy Head of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine Yuri Bohutsky, Minister for Culture and Tourism Vasyl Vovkun, representatives of the Cabinet, central executive bodies, high managers and staff members of Ukraine’s archive institutions were present at the meeting.

Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko greeted the archivists on the occasion of their professional holiday. “You are the keepers of Ukraine’s genuine history. Thanks to you, the scholars are able to not only study the originals of old and new documents, but also analyze them and tell the Ukrainians the truth about their past,” says the address read out by head of the History Lessons program Olesia Stasiuk.

In July 2008, the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and State Archive Committee of Ukraine signed a Memorandum on Cooperation, confirming their will for mutually profitable and long-term cooperation on studying and popularizing complicated pages of Ukraine’s history and renewing the historical justice.
