Crimean Libraries Receive Book Sets from Ukrainian Center for Museum Development

December 1, 2006, representatives of the Ukrainian Center for Museum Development at the Ukraine 3000 Fund passed over book sets to the Crimean libraries. The ceremony took place on the premises of the Crimean Republic Ivan Franko Universal Scientific Library. The presents were handed over by staff member of the Ukrainian Center for Museum Development Olesia Stasiuk.

The book sets were handed over to fourteen Crimean libraries: Alushta Serheyev-Tsensky City Central Library, Bakhchysaray Region Central Library, Sudak City Central Library, Yevpatoriya City Pushkin Central Library, Kerch City Bielinsky Central Library, Simferopol City Trieniev Central Library, Feodosiya City Oleksandr Hrin Central Library, Yalta City Chekhov Central Library, Sevastopol City Tolstoy Central Library, Tavriya  National Vernadsky University Library, Sevastopol National Technical University Library, the Crimean Republic Ivan Franko Universal Scientific Library, Crimean Industrial and Pedagogical University Library, and Crimean Humanitarian University Library.

Representatives of the Ministry for Culture of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea attended the ceremony, granting the Center for Museum Development a certificate of merit on behalf of the Crimea’s Minister of Culture Oleksandr Yermachkov.

The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund, Fund for Developing the National Arts Museum, and Center for Museum Development are conducting a countrywide action presenting books to Ukrainian libraries. In the next few months, 180 national, oblast, and region libraries, including university libraries, will be granted six albums of the Ukraine’s National Arts Museum and sets of books on Ukraine’s archeology, history, and culture.
