Regional Selections of Ukraine’s Innovative Intellect Competition Held in Cherkasy and Lutsk. Next Scheduled in Khmelnytsky for March 3



February 25, 2010, saw the regional selections of the Fourth Ukraine’s Innovative Intellect All-Ukrainian Youth Competition in Cherkasy and Lutsk.

In Cherkasy the event was held at Cherkasy Oblast Postgraduate Education Pedagogical Institute. The total of 85 works was submitted to the competition.

The winners of the Cherkasy regional selections are:

Humanities

Kateryna Bryk, Smila NVK Senator  School (1st Age Category)
Nika Mazovetska, Cherkasy National Bohdan Khmelnytsky University (2nd Age Category)
Olha Diahliuk, Mliyiv School No. 1 (3rd Age Category)

Economics

Kseniya Bohun, Smila Natural Sciences and Mathematics School (1st Age Category)
Anna Horobets, Cherkasy State Business School (2nd Age Category)
Vadym Syrota, NBU Banking University (3rd Age Category)

In Lutsk the event was held at the Volyn Economics and Management Institute. 175 works were submitted in the oblast.

The winners of the Volyn regional selections are:

Oleksandra Borodych, Lutsk School No. 18 (1st Age Category)
Anna Alekseyenko, Volyn Economics and Management University (2nd Age Category)
Liudmyla Kovalchyk, Private Notary’s Assistant (3rd Age Category)

Economics

Petro Korynetsky, Volyn Boarding School (1st Age Category)
Bohdan Pidtserkovny, Volyn Lesia Ukrayinka National University (2nd Age Category)
Nadiya Khvyshchun, Lutsk National Polytechnic University (3rd Age Category)

The National Contest Committee of the Ukraine’s Innovative Intellect Competition also completed the assessment of works submitted in Kherson, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, and Ivano-Frankivsk oblasts.

The winners of the regional selections move to the finals of the Ukraine’s Innovative Intellect Competition and will be invited to Kyiv to present and defend their papers in early April 2010.

March 3 regional selections of the Fourth Ukraine’s Innovative Intellect All-Ukrainian Youth Competition will be held in Khmelnytsky. The event will be hosted by Khmelnytsky Humanities and Pedagogic Academy (139 Proskurivskoho pidpillia St.).

Recall that the Fourth Ukraine’s Innovative Intellect All-Ukrainian Youth Competition was launched in August 2009. Young researchers, enterprising and socially active people caring about Ukraine’s future and aged up to 35 were invited to participate. The total of 1,817 papers was submitted from all Ukraine’s oblasts.
