Regional Selections for the Innovative Intellect of Ukraine Competition Held in Luhansk
March 10, 2008, the regional selections for the Innovative Intellect of Ukraine All-Ukrainian Youth Competition were held in Odesa. The event, hosted by the Conference Hall of the Odesa Mechnikov National University, was organized by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and the competition’s regional partner in Odesa, Odesa Oblast Office of the Democratic Alliance All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization.
57 young Odesa-based researchers presented their papers on humanitarian and economic topics, social projects, and business ideas. Their works were being assessed by the regional contest committee including representatives of Odesa colleges’ faculty members and NGO representatives.
A round table was held in course of the selections, titled Ukraine’s Innovative Intellect: How Should We Support Young Talents? Head of the Family and Youth Department of the Odesa Oblast State Administration Volodymyr Kirov took part in the discussion.
After the contest papers’ presentation, winners were announced in three age categories in economic and humanitarian topics. The winners are:
Economy
Age category 1 1st place – Anastasiya Fitkulova 2nd place – Oleksandr Vasiukov 3rd place – Kateryna Shevchenko
Age category 2 1st place – Olha Misiura
Age category 3 1st place – Serhiy Didukh
Humanitarian Issues
Age category 1 1st place – Hanna Petrova 2nd place – Olha Husarova 3rd place – Natalia Mazharova
Age category 2 1st place – Ivan Fokin
Every applicant received a certificate of the contest participant. The authors of best works were awarded with diplomas from the Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Odesa Oblast State Administration, along with valuable presents from the Odesa Oblast Office of the Democratic Alliance All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization. The regional selections for the Innovative Intellect of Ukraine All-Ukrainian Youth Competition continue. They have already been held in Cherkasy, Sumy, and Luhansk oblasts.
