Regional Selections for the Innovative Intellect of Ukraine Competition Held in Luhansk
March 6, 2008, the regional selections for the Innovative Intellect of Ukraine All-Ukrainian Youth Competition were held in Luhansk. The event, hosted by the Luhansk Oblast Youth Library, was organized by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and the competition’s regional partner in Luhansk, Luhansk Oblast Office of the Democratic Alliance All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization.
47 young Luhansk-based researchers presented their papers on humanitarian and economic topics, social projects, and business ideas. Their works were being assessed by the regional contest committee including representatives of the Luhansk Oblast State Administration, college faculty members, and NGO representatives.
Every participants of the selections received a certificate of the contest participant. The authors of best works were awarded with diplomas for the first, second, and third places.
Six first-place winners – Liliya Tenchurina (age category 1, Humanitarian Topics), Anton Hlushko (age category 2, Humanitarian Topics), Olha Zhdanova (age category 2, Economic Topics), Oleksandr Rodionov (age category 3, Economic Topics), Tetiana Lesyk (Social Projects) and Nataliya Yakovleva (Business Ideas) – are to take part in the all-Ukrainian stage to be held in Kyiv March 28-29, 2008.
The regional selections for the Innovative Intellect of Ukraine All-Ukrainian Youth Competition continue. They have already been held in Cherkasy and Sumy oblast, with Odesa, Lviv, and Kharkiv still on schedule.
