From August 3 to 5 Kyiv will Host the Simya vid A do Ya Non-Governmental Organizations Forum, Co-Organized by the Ukraine 3000 Foundation
From August 3 to 5 Kyiv will host the Simya vid A do Ya Non-Governmental Organizations Forum, aimed at coordinating of and working out strategy for the civil sector in Ukraine in the issues related to motherhood and childhood. The event was co-organized by the Simya vid A do Ya [Family from A to Z] Civil Organization, the United Nations Children's Fund UNICEF, Swiss Cooperation Office, and the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation, with the support of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Sports of Ukraine.
The forum is aimed at consolidating civil organizations’ effort in preparing couples for parenthood, as well as coordinating their activity with legislative authorities. The forum will highlight the priorities and expectations for civil organizations in terms of parents and children’s education. Civil organizations will work together on a general strategy in compliance with the Children’s Health and Development chapter of Ukraine’s Governmental Program for 2006-2010.
Olha Kovalenko, head of the Tomorrow Area of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation will deliver a speech at the forum’s plenary session on August 1, 11 am. She will read out greeting letter from Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko and deliver a speech titled, Education and Development (Developing an Image) Space for a Man of the Future Ukraine: Fragments of an Integral View.
The Forum’s participants will work in five simultaneous sections: Methods for Preparing Future Parents for the Childbirth; Modern View on Lactation and Breastfeeding; Modern Forms of Work with Parents; Development Methods in the Work with Children; Trends in the Work with Pregnant Women. The Forum’s schedule also includes master classes and trainings by foreign experts.
150 members of over 70 entities and civil organizations from all Ukraine’s regions will take part in the forum along with their colleagues from Belgium and the Netherlands.
