Bids opening held for the tender for purchasing medical equipment for 20 children’s hospitals in Ukraine

January 15, 2010, the bids submitted for the tender for purchasing medical equipment for 20 children’s hospitals in Ukraine within the framework of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s and McDonald’s Ukraine’s joint action, the Happy Day at McDonald’s, were opened at the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation headquarters in Kyiv. Members of the Tender Committee and authorized representatives of the bidders were present at the event.

The total of five bids was submitted: from Azaris Ltd., NPMTs Kardio Ltd., Astra-Med SE, Ukrmed Ltd., Transmed Ltd. All the bidders were admitted to the tender.

The Tender Committee resolved to create an Expert Committee to process the bids, with Head of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s Medical Programs Department Vira Pavliuk as its head. It was decided to invited independent experts as the Committee members. The Expert Committee will be processing the bids till January 25, 2010.

The next meeting of the Tender Committee, to announce the winner, is scheduled for January 25.
