Bids Opened for Bid Competition for Purchasing Medical Equipment for Four Hospital to Hospital Member Hospitals



July 7, 2008, bids were opened at the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation premises, sent for the bid competition for purchasing medical equipment for Volyn Oblast Children’s Territorial Medical Alliance, Zaporizhzhia Oblast Children’s Hospital, Chernihiv Oblast Children’s Hospital, and Children’s Hospital of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea. The event was attended by members of the competition’s Committee and bidders’ representatives.

The total of three bids was sent to the competition: from Avrora Hearing Rehabilitation Center, Infoton Ltd., and Realton Ltd. All bidders were allowed to compete.

The Competition Committee resolved to create an Expert Committee to proceed the bids with Head of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s Medical programs Dept. Taras Tkachuk as its head. Independent experts will be invited to participate in the Committee’s work. Members of the Committee will be considering the proposals till July 15, 2008, at 12:00 a.m., Kyiv time.

The Competition Committee’s next meeting to announce the winner is scheduled for July 15.

Recall that the bid competition for purchasing medical equipment for the four Hospital to Hospital member hospitals was announced June 25, 2008. The equipment set includes a diagnostic system for registering brainstem auditory evoked potential, diagnostic audiometer, and extended-range impedance audiometer.

The equipment purchase has become possible due to the funds earmarked by Procter&Gamble Ukraineto support its joint project with Ukraine 3000, within the framework of the Foundation’s Hospital to Hospital program.
