Memorandum on Cooperation Signed between the Odesa Oblast Children’s Hospital and Schneider Children’s Medical Center, Dankner Group



November 15, 2007, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Schneider Children’s Medical Center in Petah Tiqva. Among other participants of the event were wife of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Israel Olena Timofeyeva, Head of the Medical Programs Department of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Vira Pavliuk, and Head Physician of the Odesa Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital Oleksandr Liman.

Mrs. Yushchenko met with the Center’s Director Marc Mimouni, presenting the Fund’s medical programs and in more detail – the Children’s Hospital of the Future project. In his turn, Dr. Mimouni described the Schneider Center’s activities.

After that, The Memorandum on Cooperation between the Odesa Oblast Children’s Hospital and Schneider Children’s Medical Center, Dankner Group, was signed as a part of the Hospital to Hospital Program. The document was signed, from the Israeli part, by the Center’s Director Marc Mimouni Head of the Board of Directors of the Dankner Group Holding Gil Dankner, and on the Ukrainian part – by Head of the Medical Programs Department of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Vira Pavliuk and Head Physician of the Odesa Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital Oleksandr Liman.

The guests also took a tour of the Center, accompanied by Dr. Mimouni. In part, they visited the Children’s Cardiology Institute and Neonatology Unit.

Schneider Children's Medical Center of Israel was inaugurated on October 29, 1991, and named after its major sponsors, Irving and Helen Schneider. Toady, the Center is one of the world’s leading pediatric clinics, offering the full range of medical service to children from birth to 16 years. Its major areas of work are cardiology, surgery, transplantation, intensive care, diagnostics, and nuclear medicine, hematology, oncology, children’s diabetes, first aid, psychiatry, and genetics. The Center has 250 permanent and 50 daycare beds, 1,800 staff, and 275,000 visitations per year.

Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko accompanies President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko in his state visit to Israel from November 13 till 15, 2007.
