Meeting Between Ukraine 3000 Fund and Emory University School of Medicine Representatives
The participants of the meeting were Education Programs Director, M.D., Professor Kenneth Walker, Medical Programs Director at the Medical Department Archil Undilashvili, International Projects Contractor Tetiana Humeniuk (Washington) from the Emory University School of Medicine and Head of the Board of Directors Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Fund Vira Pavliuk, Expert with the Medical programs Department Taras Tkachuk, and Deputy Director of the Culturological Programs Department Vladyslav Pioro from the Ukraine 3000 Fund.
The goal of the meeting was discussing prospects for training medical staff for the Children’s Hospital of the Future at the Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Walker described the University’s facilities and educational programs and shared his views on selecting and training the staff. Dr. Undiashvili shared his experience in training specialists abroad for the Tbilisi Central Hospital.
Emory was founded at Oxford by the Methodist Church in 1836. The University has 11,300 students and 2,500 faculty members who represent all regions of the United States and more than 100 foreign nations.
