Ñhildren’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund Representatives Meet with General Designer People

August 28-30, 2007, the Fund hosted working meetings to discuss the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health (Children’s Hospital of the Future) project. Among their participants were project architects Neil Cadenhead and Antoine Buisseret, representatives of Bdpgroupe6 (a joint group owned by Great Britain-based BDP and French-based Groupe6) and Toby Banfield, representative of EC Harris, a company specializing in space planning in patient-care institutions. The Ukrainian part was represented by renowned pediatricians, designers, and Children’s Hospital of the Future Fund representatives including Head of the Board of Directors Ms. Vira Pavliuk.

In course of the meetings, the parties discussed in detail the tentative allocation of the future hospital’s units and other facilities. The doctors voiced their proposals based on their experience. All proposals will be taken into account by the Bdpgroupe6 experts. Also a number of meetings was held with representatives of leading Ukrainian architectural companies able to adjust the design to the requirements of Ukraine’s current legislation.
