Proposals Opened for the Contest for Purchasing Medical Equipment for the Burns Center at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 2
August 28, 2007, proposals submitted to the bids contest for purchasing medical equipment for the Burns Center at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 2 were opened at the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund headquarters. Members of the Contest Committee Oleksandr Maksymchuk 9Head), Rostyslav Zamlynsky, Vira Pavliuk, Oleksiy Kamyanchuk, Inna Holovanchuk, and representatives of the contest participants were present.
In whole, 8 bids were submitted by the DIQ Manufacturers, Profimed Ltd., BTL Ukraine Ltd., SPFarma Manufacturers, Promed Joint Venture, Kyivska Medtekhnika Ltd., Sante Manufacturers, and Medservis-Harant.
All contest proposals meet the contest requirements.
The Contest Committee decided to create an Expert Committee to consider the contest proposals, with Head of the Medical Programs Department of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Ms. Pavliuk. Independent experts will be also invited to take part in the committee’s work. The Expert Committee members will be considering the proposals up till September 7, 2007.
The next Contest Committee meeting is scheduled for September 7. It will consider the proposals recognized as the best by the Expert Committee/ The winner will be announced the same day.
The the bids contest for purchasing medical equipment for the Burns Center at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 2 was announced July 19, 2007. Purchasing medical equipment for the Burn Center at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 2 has become possible due a charitable action held in Germany in 2005. Over € 630,000 was raised for Ukraine’s medical institutions. In February 2006, UNESCO Ambassador of Goodwill Ute-Henrietta Ohoven gave Head of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund’s Supervisory Board Kateryna Yushchenko a certificate, handing over this money to the Ukraine 3000 Fund, which acts as its disposer. One of the institutions to obtain aid due to this money is the Burns Center at the Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 2.
