Equipment Purchased Due to Joy of the Childhood: Free Movements Program Restores Health of Chernihiv Oblast Children
The sensor room equipped due to the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund and TNK-BP Ukraine Company joint program, Joy of the Childhood: Free Movements, is working at the Vidrodzhennia Medical and Social Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children.
The Rehabilitation Center at the Vidrodzhennia Medical and Social Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children has won the First All-Ukrainian Grant Competition for Patient Care and Rehabilitation Institutions Servicing Children with Cerebral Palsy. The Center has received a UAH 28,996.06 grant for purchasing the sensor room equipment.
This equipment allows diversifying the activities involving disabled children and improving the quality of medical services. The Center’s professionals were given a chance to increase the efficiency of their work with children with organic lesions of the central nervous system. The sensor room helps to fight psychophysical malformations, form necessary skills, adapt and include them into the modern society. Improve cognitive development, gross and fine motor skills, body-space concept, conative motivation were registered in many patients, while virtually all children had improvements in the emotional and conative sphere.
The Vidrodzhennia Medical and Social Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children works with disabled children with central nervous system and locomotor diseases, requiring extra sensor stimulation. Around 400 patients have undergone a complex rehabilitation course only this year.
The Center’s staff expresses its sincere gratitude to the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund and TNK-BP Ukraine Company and declares that the Vidrodzhennia Center will take part in further competitions held within the Joy of the Childhood: Free Movements Program framework.
