Ukraine 3000 Fund and KOICA Korea International Cooperation Agency Agree to Carry Out a Joint Project
June 13, 2007, the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund representatives and KOICA Korea International Cooperation Agency staff workers met at the Fund’s headquarters. Among the participants of the meeting were Coordinator of the Hospital to Hospital Program Taras Tkachuk and KOICA Administrative Member Mrs. No Yung Mee.
The parties discussed the ways for possible cooperation and implementing joint charitable projects within the Hospital to Hospital program framework.
In part, the Korean side expressed their preparedness to provide for volunteer specialists in physiotherapy and newborns’ care to stay in Ukraine for one year. A number of Hospital to Hospital member hospitals will be selected to take part in the project, with volunteers sent to these hospitals. Due to their long-term stay, the specialists will be able to study the hospitals’ problems and needs more thoroughly.
The next step will be purchasing most necessary equipment and organizing trainings for Ukrainian specialists at best Korean hospitals. Both parties are interested in carrying out long-term projects, allowing obtaining better and long-lasting results.
All charitable projects carried out by the KOICA Korea International Cooperation Agency are supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine and personally Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr. Hur Seung Chul.
