Representatives of Ukraine 3000 Fund Meet with Korean CommeDefen Co. Ltd. Leaders
June 8, 2007, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund met with leaders of the Korea-based CommeDefen Co. Ltd. at the Fund’s headquarters. Among the participants of the meeting were Coordinator of the Hospital to Hospital Program Taras Tkachuk and CommeDefen Co. Director General Dr. Kim Hyob Zhu.
The participants of the meeting discussed ways for future cooperation and possibilities for charitable aid within the Hospital to Hospital framework.
In part, the parties broached upon the delivery to Ukraine of a reanimobile donated to the Ukraine 3000 Fund by Dr. Kim Hyob Zhu during Head of the Fund’s Supervisory Board Kateryna Yushchenko’s visit to Korea on December 19, 2006. Considering the complication of the procedure to export and deliver it from Korea, the parties agreed to transfer money for purchasing an ambulance in Ukraine. According to the agreement, the ambulance will be donated to the Volyn Oblast Children’s Territorial Association. It is extremely important not only to purchase an ambulance but also to set it with modern medical equipment, allowing transporting children in grave condition from remote regions.
Within the framework of the Hospital to Hospital, reanimobiles have already been delivered to Kirovohrad, Zakarpattia, and Luhansk Oblast Children’s Hospitals, as well as to the Cherkasy Territorial Emergency and Catastrophes Medicine CenterУ рамках реалізації програми «Від . During their work at Ukraine’s hospitals, these reanimobiles have saved lives of hundreds of Ukrainian children.
