Ukraine 3000 Fund Representative Meets Director of the of the Ukrainian branch of the Triumph of Heart Charitable Organization Stephan-Arpad Madjar
May 16, 2007, coordinator of the Hospital to Hospital program of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Taras Tkachuk met with Director of the Ukrainian branch of the Triumph of Heart charitable organization Stephan-Arpad Madjar.
The parties discussed some difficulties charitable organizations encounter in Ukraine, namely, the imperfection of the legislation, lack of cooperation from the officials and their reluctance to help the philanthropists. On Mr. Madjar’s initiative, an agency is to be created, able to coordinate eddort of all charitable organizations and their work in Ukraine in terms of legislative initiatives, facilitating charitable activities in Ukraine.
Besides, Mr. Madjar promised to do everything in his power to solve the problems of Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 10’s Hospice.
The Ukrainian branch of the Triumph of Heart charitable organization operates in Ukraine since 1995. In part, during this period it has been distributing humanitarian aid among Ukrainian churches, boarding schools, hospitals, organizations of the disabled and retired, rendering assistance to homeless children and children from low-income and large families, taking part in the fight against the tuberculosis epidemic. Besides, with the assistance of the Triumph of Heart, a hospice for 50 people in Donetsk oblast and the Mother Mary’s House children’s recreation center near Yalta were founded.
