Teachers and Students of the Podil Lyceum No. 100 Contribute into Creating the Children’s Hospital of the Future
April 4, 2007, the Podil Lyceum No. 100 hosted a beneficial concert of classic music organized by the Lyceum’s Charitable Fund. The goal of the event was raising funds for the All-Ukrainian Mothers’ and Children’s Health Protection Center, the Children’s Hospital of the Future.
Before the concert started, head of the Lyceum self-government Serhiy Kononenko told the audience about the students’ intention to make a charitable contribution of UAH 5,000 (roughly $1,000) for the hospital’s construction, which they have collected from their allowances. The concert organizers invited all those present to take part in the action and support the Children’s Hospital of the Future project.
Teachers and students’ parents were present at the concert. Coordinator of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Oleksiy Kamianchuk took part in the formal part of the event.
After the concert its organizers handed over to Mr. Kamianchul a certificate for UAH 14,543 (roughly $2,900) – the whole receipts of the beneficial action.
