Over 70 Children’s Cardiologists and Neonatologists Took Part in the Cardiopediatrician to Pediatrician Medical Workshop
March 24, 2007, the Cardiopediatrician to Pediatrician medical workshop was held at the Institute for Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Gynecology in Kyiv. The event was organized by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund as part of the Hospital to Hospital program and was aimed at raising the level of Ukrainian doctors’ skills.
Over 70 children’s cardiologists and neonatologists from 23 member hospitals of the Hospital to Hospital program took part in the workshop. It was conducted by specially invited professors from French medical institutions: Nicolas Pangaud (Clinique Val d’Ouest), and Mykola Myrochnik (Hospital Europien Georges Pompidou, Paris). The workshop’s working language was French, with Ukrainian translation. French doctors’ reports were illustrated with video presentations. The reporters were actively interacting with the audience.
This was the second pediatrics workshop organized and conducted within the Hospital to Hospital framework. The first one, practical seminar on neonatology, was held in Kyiv on March 18, 2006, with the participance of neonatologists from program’s member hospitals. It was conducted by French professors Annie-Laure Suc (Tours University Hospital) and Mykola Myrochnik (Hospital Europien Georges Pompidou, Paris).
