Meeting between Representatives of Ukraine 3000 Fund, Embassy of Austria to Ukraine, and Vamed Group
March 6, 2007, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund met at the Fund’s office with Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Austria to Ukraine Christian Hessel and representative of the Vamed Group Company Wilhelm Zederbauer. Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund Vira Pavliuk, Executive Director of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund Olena Kovalenko, and Coordinator of the Hospital to Hospital Program Inna Holovanchuk were present at the meeting.
The participants of the meeting discussed the areas of possible cooperation and implementing joint projects. Mr. Maksymchuk described the major stages of creating the Children’s Hospital of the Future and gave a progress report. He said that at present the drafting of a medical task for the construction of the hospital has entered a crucial stage.
In his turn, Mr. Zederbauer gave a brief presentation of major medical projects implemented by the Vamed Group. The company has a great experience in creating medical facilities and their further servicing.
The parties discussed the existing cooperation between Ukraine and the Austrian Republic. In part, they mentioned the partnership between the Lviv City Children’s Hospital and Barmhertziger Bruder Hospital (Aisenstadt, Austria). The partnership between the two hospitals is very active and fruitful. One of its major areas is conducting training sessions for Ukrainian doctors in Austria.
