Representatives of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Meet with General Electric Healthcare International Executives

February 26, 2007, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund met with General Electric Healthcare International executives. The participants of the meeting were Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Kateryna Yushchenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Health Yuri Poliachenko, Advisor to the Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Andriy Myroshnichenko, Head of the Board of Directors of the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund Vira Pavliuk, Press Secretary of the Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Maryna Antonova, Director General of the Hanza AT Petro Bahriy, and representatives of the General Electric Company: President Reinaldo Garcia, Regional Manager for Eastern Europe Gzim Ademaj, Service Manager for Eastern Europe Gergely Sved, President for Russia/CIS Peter Tchernych, Marketing Manager Rene Prunier, and GE Healthcare International representative for Ukraine Olena Kucheruk.

In course of the meeting medical programs carried out in Ukraine were presented to the GE Healthcare International executives. Mrs. Yushchenko spoke about the projects initiated by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund: the Children’s Hospital of the Future and Hospital to Hospital. GE Healthcare International and Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund representatives outlined the areas for cooperation within these projects’ frameworks, in part, instruction and training for Ukrainian doctors abroad.

Minister Poliachenko presented healthcare programs initiated by the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers. He also named some projects, which could potentially interest the GE Healthcare International in terms of future cooperation. In part, the GE representatives’ attention was drawn by the Children’s Hospital of the Future project.

In his turn, President Garcia told those present about the GE Healthcare International latest achievements in cancer treatment.
