Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund and TNK-BP Ukraine Award Winners of the Grant Contest

January 31, 2007, the Kyivsky President-Hotel hosted an award ceremony of the grant contest among institutions rendering treatment and rehabilitation services to children with cerebral palsy.

Head of the Supervisory Board of Ukraine 3000 Fund Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko, President of TNK-BP Ukraine Serhiy Lizunov, Head of the Board of Directors of Ukraine 3000 Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Head of the Joy of the Childhood – Free Movements program Olena Filon, and representatives of the winning institutions took part in the ceremony.

In her speech Mrs. Yushchenko said, “One of the goals of the Joy of the Childhood – Free Movements program is influencing public opinion regarding the problems of children with special needs and their social integration. (…) We hope that the grants received by the winners will give a chance to create a network of professional treatment and rehabilitation facilities for children with cerebral palsy.”

In his turn, Mr. Lizunov said, “I am glad to see the funds, donated by our company within the framework of the Joy of the Childhood – Free Movements program, benefiting Ukrainian children and their families. We are extremely happy to know that this money is being used for its assigned purpose, goes where it is supposed to go, and is distributed openly and transparently. I congratulate the winners of the contest and wish them every success in their important cause.”
