Representatives of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Meet with Management of the UkrTeleMed Company

January 26, 2007, representatives of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund met with the management of the UkrTeleMed Company. Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Director of the Hospital to Hospital Program Vira Pavliuk, Coordinator with the Hospital to Hospital Program Inna Holovanchuk, Director of the UkrTeleMed Ltd. Yevheniya Pavliuk, and Chief Physician with the UkrTeleMed Research and Practice Consultative Medical Center Yuri Pohoretsky took part in the meeting.

The parties discussed issues related to innovative global technologies in medical equipment. In part, they spoke about television medicine, its functioning at Ukrainian clinics, and implementing it at the Children’s Hospital of the Future. Ms. Pavliuk demonstrated the work of a blood pressure monitor, allowing to make cardiograms at any moment and send it to experts by mobile phone or internet.

Besides, the participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities for launching a pilot project on telemedicine at one of the Hospital to Hospital Program member clinics.
