The Ukraine 3000 Fund and MacDonalds Ukraine Ltd. to Donate Cardio Equipment to Ukraine’s Children’s Hospitals
January 26, 2007, a ceremony of donating 18 sets of cardiological equipment to children’s hospitals of Ukraine will take place at the Strazhesko Cardiology Institute.
The equipment was purchased with the money raised in course of the Healthy Heart of the Child charitable action, held jointly by the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund and MacDonalds Ukraine Ltd. from October 8 till 20, 2006. Among the participants of the ceremony will be cardiology professionals, representing the hospitals receiving the equipment, as well as members of the MacDonalds Ukraine Ltd. company and Ukraine 3000 Fund.
Every Hospital will receive a set of equipment including 12-channel synchronous ECG recorder (with 100 paper rolls and 12 bottles of ECG gel), and 24-hour blood pressure monitor. The equipment can be used in functional diagnosing rooms, ICUs, ERs, outpatient clinics, etc.
After the ceremony, the doctors will be given a training session on working with the devices and presentation of innovative diagnosing methods in children’s cardiology.

A concluding press conference to summarize the Healthy Heart of the Child action is scheduled for February 1, 2007.
