The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund Presents the Project to Create and Construct the Children’s Hospital of the Future in Chernihiv
October 27, 2006, , the Chernihiv Oblast Children’s Hospital hosted a presentation of the project to create and construct the Children's Hospital of the Future by members of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund. Head of the Board of Directors of the Ukraine 3000 Fund Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Honorary President of the Transbank JSCB and member of the Supervisory Board of the Children's Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund Volodymyr Kosterin, and People’s Deputy of Ukraine Liliya Hryhorovych took part in the presentational press conference.
Mr. Maksymchuk presented the project to create and construct the hospital. He said that a special Children's Hospital of the Future Charitable Fund had been created in Ukraine to raise funds for the construction, with similar funds soon to be registered in America and Europe. He also mentioned the wide support by the mass media to the action, joined by national television channels, and the action launched by Ukraine’s mobile network operators.
Mr. Kosterin spoke about the cooperation between the Transbank and Ukraine 3000 Fund on implementing the project to create and construct the Children's Hospital of the Future. “This project is able to unite people of various interests in the noble cause of helping the children,” he said. Mr. Kosterin emphasized that the Transbank views the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Fund as a reliable partner, expressing his hope that many businesspeople would join the project.
People’s Deputy of Ukraine Liliya Hryhorovych spoke about the importance of the project, observing that, in spite of the fact that protecting mothers and children is a state priority, the state needs help from philanthropists and the whole society for successful solving the problems in healthcare. “This project is an adequate response to current medical, humanitarian, and public needs. Creating this hospital will give a chance not only to cure many Ukrainian children but also initiate a breakthrough in the modern Ukrainian medicine,” she said.
After the press conference its participants met with Chernihiv oblast business leaders.
These events were part of the promotional tour of Ukraine’s oblast centers to present and raise funds for the project on creating and constructing the Children's Hospital of the Future in Kyiv. The project was launched on September 29, 2006, in Lviv and earlier was presented in Sumy, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Donetsk, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad.
The construction of the All-Ukrainian Health Protection Center for Mothers and Children (the Children’s Hospital of the Future) is envisaged by the Cabinet Decision No. 722 of May 25, 2006, and Clause 17 of the Universal of National Unity.
