Robert Debre Hospital and Kharkiv Institute for Child Protection sign memorandum on cooperation
In France, Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Robert Debre Hospital and the Necker Hospital.
In her presence, the Robert Debre Hospital signed a memorandum on cooperation with the Kharkiv Institute for Child Protection. The memorandum outlines major directions of cooperation between the children’s hospitals and is the first step towards signing agreements on specific projects. One of such projects might be a contest to invite Ukrainian physicians to practice at the Robert Debre Hospital.
The President’s wife and members of the Ukrainian delegation inspected the hospital, which specializes in TB treatment. At a meeting with heads of the institution, she discussed ways to cooperate to diagnose and treat young TB patients in Ukraine as well as cooperation in child cardiology. The Necker Hospital is considering possibilities to invite Ukrainian pediatricians to practice in France to study new methods to diagnose children’s heart and blood vessel disease.
The memorandum was signed after the Hospital to Hospital expert council had announced winners of their contest – Ukrainian pediatric hospitals. The Hospital to Hospital program is intent to improve health care for children by finding partners for children’s hospitals throughout Ukraine and to create modern and well-equipped children’s hospitals in our country.
