First Lady distributes manuals for future mothers
At the Zhovten Sanatorium, Kateryna Yushchenko took part in a presentation to distribute Elisabeth Fenwick’s manual among pregnant women. The book is well illustrated and easy to read. Oleksandr Vladimirov, Zhovten Chief Doctor, Natalya Trofan, Head of the Therapeutic Department for Pregnant Women, and Vira Pavlyuk, Hospital To Hospital Coordinator, took part in the presentation.
The President’s wife whished the women to “easily bear their children and bring them up happy.” She shared her own maternal experience and said she had read this book twice, using some of its recommendations to bring up her children.
By distributing these free manuals, the Ukraine 3000 Foundation is trying to make future mothers and their families aware of some peculiarities of pregnancy and give them recommendations to take care of babies from their birth to the age of three.
“At this period, a woman should take much care of herself and create a harmonic environment filled with positive emotions around. Bearing a baby is a process of spiritual revival,” she stressed.
The books (12.000 copies) were presented by the famous American philanthropist of Ukrainian descent, Grygoriy Malynovsky.
