First Lady visits Rivne Children’s Hospital and Ostrog Boarding School

Kateryna Yushchenko visited the Rivne Children’s Hospital.

She inspected the anesthesiology department, the intensive therapy ward for newborns and the reanimation ward for children.

Chief Doctor Vitaly Boyko showed her the information toxicology center where poisoned patients can consult doctors. The President’s wife said it was expedient to spread this experience throughout the country. She also visited the oncohematology department and spoke with its staff and few parents, who live with their kids in rather comfortable conditions.

Speaking with regional reporters, the First Lady said all Ukraine 3000 workers involved in the Hospital to Hospital program were inspecting children’s hospitals all around Ukraine to provide them with equipment or help them find partners abroad to exchange experience.

Mrs. Yushchenko also visited the Ostrog Boarding School to meet the deaf children and school principals.
