Kateryna Yushchenko’s letter to participants of the Children Should Hear Their First Bell charitable ceremony
Dear friends!
I would like to sincerely greet all participants of the Children Should Hear Their First Bell project. Let me thank all partners that are taking part in this program. I hope it will draw people’s attention to the necessity to help the children who have hearing and speaking problems.
I am addressing all who want to help. A new high-quality hearing aid can totally change life of a child with hearing problems. It will help this young individual perceive the world of sounds harmonically, for our vivid and unforgettable childhood impressions stay with us forever.
I was deeply touched to read about the deaf children who were fortunate to receive hearing aids. It is also important to diagnose such problems in early stages. Modern equipment can detect problems in stages when they can still be treated. It also helps to choose a hearing aid that matches child’s particular needs. I think our foundation will consider options to help the children to diagnose their hearing problems. If these problems are solved, a child will find it quite easy to adapt to normal social life.
I would also like to congratulate all children on Knowledge Day. I know you have been looking forward to this day to meet your friends and classmates to share your summer impressions, see your favorite teachers and learn many new and interesting things.
I want to congratulate your teachers and parents and thank them for patience, kindness, concern and commitment to bring up new generations of people that will create our future. I wish you all inspiration, joy, love and faith. Let me end my greeting with Olexandr Dovzhenko’s words: “Life is so short. Hasten to be good to people!”
