Kateryna Yushchenko’s address to inmates and teachers of the Malyatko Children’s Home
Dear friends!
I would like to say there are not better presents than those you gave me. These are your smiles, dances, songs, and drawings. They are precious. I am grateful to you for everything you did.
I was glad to visit your school and meet the first-formers. This year, my daughter Sophiyka also went to school. I want her to be as enthusiastic about her studies as you.
I want to say a few words about your teachers and administrators. They are very kind-hearted people. I want them to love you, develop your talents and constantly think about ways to improve your life. I think you are grateful to them for their love.
I sincerely thank all sponsors of this children’s home. This is real philanthropy. I really wanted to come here because I think all children’s homes can use your charitable experience.
Mr. Polyachenko (Kyivmiskbud Head), I would like you to spread it throughout the country. Supported by your company, the children are professionally educated after school. Then, they find job to start their independent life. Your contribution is priceless.
Today, I brought you tiny presents. First of all, it is a icon of Virgin Mary so that God and angels should guard you. I also brought you books and candy. Read and study!
I would like to thank you for your hospitality! See you!
