In 2010 Ukraine for the first time will be represented in Competition with the film Shchastia moye [My Happiness] (director Serhiy Loznytsia, producer Oleh Kokhan). A Ukrainian stand will operate for two weeks at the Cannes Film Marker at Village International, presenting three new Ukrainian movies.

Since 2005 the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation has been supporting the International Competition for Young Pianists in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz. This year the Foundation has donated UAH 40,000 to the competition’s prize fund.

The Great Terror is an amazingly professional and well-grounded research of the Stalin repressions period in the 1930s. With the help of scholarly sources, written witness and victims’ accounts, the author covered one of the most hushed up periods of the USSR history.
