57 young Odesa-based researchers presented their papers on humanitarian and economic topics, social projects, and business ideas. Their works were being assessed by the regional contest committee including representatives of Odesa colleges’ faculty members and NGO representatives.

In the end of the discussion the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and the Banking University at the National Bank of Ukraine signed a Memorandum on Cooperation. The document envisages intensifying their cooperation in promoting the social responsibility idea as well as organizing a series of events to put these principles into practice.

Mrs. Yushchenko said that the Ukraine 3000 Foundation announced the start of the Third Candle in the Window contest of posters on Holodomor and Third All-Ukrainian Contest for journalists for the best coverage of Holodomor in mass media. The competitions will last till November 2008, with results to be announced by the 75th anniversary of Holodomor.

The participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities for cooperation between Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Sanofi Pasteur in 2008, in part, donating to Hospital to Hospital program members hepatitis A, measles, and pneumococcus vaccines, which would make possible efficient preventive measures among children in the risk group.

Thirteen individual and group projects were submitted in various age categories. Young artists from Kyiv and Lviv proved most active, presenting both individual objects and complete designs for the park.

The winners received a chance to get through a rehabilitation course at the Prof. Koziavkin’s clinics. Head of the Joy of the Childhood: Free Movements program Oleksandra Mykolyshyn awarded the winners with certificates and children’s books by the A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA Publishers.
