During the event the certificates for the medicine and equipment listed above will be passed to chief physicians of the Mykolayiv Oblast Children’s Hospital and the Republic Children’s Clinical Hospital, AR Crimea, and aerophones – to children with impaired hearing.

Mrs. Kateryna visited the Kyiv Polytechnic Science Park, where she familiartized herself with the work of the Super Computer Calculations Center and the Ukrainian Office of the Global Data Center. The staff of the Science Park made short presentations for the guest, dedicated to the major areas of a technopolis work. Later Mrs. Yushchenko visited the Institute of Informational Technologies in Education.

According to the Contest Statute, the Organizing Committee has given a privilege to Kyiv and Kyiv oblast as the second region by the number of submitted works. Winners of both the first and second places will be invited to participate in the national selections. The contestants sharing the first or second place will be both invited to the national selections.

The Committee approved the application form of the charitable project, through which leaders of the projects participating in the second stage of the Doing Good Starts with You program will submit information on the results of their projects. This form will be distributed among all 112 participants of the pilot group, implementing their charitable projects from January till April. The deadline for submitting information is April 20, 2008.

Mrs. Yushchenko congratulated Ms. Kriukova, who was awarded with the Hero of Ukraine title by a presidential order. The Order was red out by Head of the Chief Humanitarian Policy and Cultural Heritage Administration at the Secretariat of the President Oleksandr Bystrushkin.
