The Megarian Bowls catalog by Sabina Grzegrzulka was published in the English and Russian languages. This is the second of the two catalogues compiled by Polish and Ukrainian archeologists. The total of 1,318 works was submitted to the competition. The leader in terms of the amount of papers was Volyn oblast (185). Also in the top five are Chernihiv (106), Khmelnytsky (91), Dnipropetrovsk (90), Cherkasy (78), and Poltava (73) oblasts.

The participation of Oleksandr Mindadze’s On Saturday in the competition has become an outstanding event for the Ukrainian cinema. The film’s plot is based on a real story taking place April 26, 1986, on the day of the Chernobyl explosion. The film is a joint production by Ukraine, Germany, and Russia. The premiere is scheduled for February 14.
