18 November 2014 14:28

November 22, 2014, the Mystetskyi Arsenal Museum in Kiev is hosting Christmas Festival “Children of the World to the Children of Ukraine”. Event organizers are Pechersk School International in Kiev and Children of the Future charitable youth organization with the support of Ukraine 3000 and International Alliance of Fraternal Assistance.

The festival aims to promote public awareness on the destiny of children who suffer from the ongoing armed conflict in the east of Ukraine. These children need our help. Many lost family members as they were forced to flee their homes, many suffer trauma and stress. On November 22, everyone can join the cause and help the child victims of war.

Starting at 12 noon, the event features musical entertainment, Christmas bazaar and silent auction, delicious cuisine and more. Master-classes offer hay crafting, scrapbooking, wreath making, pottery, embroidery, paper, carnival masks, Christmas tree decorations, origami etc.

The lottery lots include gift baskets from embassies, purblishers, celebrities etc. The silent auction will offer pictures, jewelry, vintage toys, designer clothes etc.

All the proceeds will go towards aiding child victims of the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine.

Looking forward to seeing you!

World Giving Index 2014 Ukraine on place 103
The data we have here clearly does not represent the engagement of Ukrainians in charitable giving, comments Oleksandr Maksymchuk, President of the Association of Charities of Ukraine. Given the present situation in the country, Ukraine experiences an unusual positive growth in the charitable sector. For Ukrainians the engagement across all types of giving is now a commonplace activity. The Revolution of Dignity changed our society completely as both citizens and businesses throughout the country demonstrate high levels of social responsibility. The pro-European rallies united Ukrainians and manifested the importance of mutual help and support. Today we do everything in our power to help the soldiers who are defending our sovereignty in the east. And we are confident that in the future the generosity of our people will only grow stronger. »»
