Representatives of Ukraine 3000 Foundation Sign Memorandum Supporting Reform of Legislation on Charitable Activities

June 16, 2010, a Memorandum was signed in Kyiv to support draft laws On Charity and Charitable Organizations and On Amending Certain Laws of Ukraine (on relieving tax burden on charitable aid recipients).
The document was signed by representatives of Eastern Europe Foundation, Rinat Akhmetov Developemtn of Ukraine Foundation, Renaissance ICF, Ukraine 3000 ICF, Oleksandr Feldman ICF, Viktor Pinchuk Foundation, Caritas Ukraine ICF, Klitschko Brothers ICF, Arseny Yatseniuk’s Open Ukraine Foundation, Olena Franchuk’s ANTI-AIDS Foundation, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk’s People of the Future Foundation, People’s Deputies of Ukraine Lesia Orobets, Oleksandr Feldman, and experts of the Ukrainian Independent Center for Political Research.
On behalf of Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation the Memorandum was signed by Adviser to Head of the Supervisory Board Andriy Myroshnichenko.
The suggested drafts, in part, simplify procedure and decrease term for charitable organizations registration and relieve the tax burden for both recipients and donors of charitable aid. The draft laws have already been registered in Verkhovna Rada.
