Statement by Ukraine 3000 ICF and Children’s Hospital of the Future CF to the potential purchasers of the ICD Corporation’s profit participation rights

STATEMENT

With this statement, the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation and Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation inform the potential purchasers of the Industrial Alliance of Donbas Corporation’s profit participation rights on the existence of additional financial burdening related to these assets.

We were compelled to make this statement by information published in mass media (e.g. The Financial Times) on the purchase of 50%+2 shares of the Industrial Alliance of Donbas Corporation.

According to our information, in course of the due diligence investigation of these assets, the ICD Corporation’s liability of $15,000,000 to the Children’s Hospital of the Future Charitable Foundation had not been taken into account. The preparedness to finance the construction of the lab building was announced in public during the Children’s Hospital of the Future Telethon in December 2006. The liability was confirmed in July 2008 by a letter signed by Head of the Board of Directors of the Industrial Alliance of Donbas Corporation Serhiy Taruta.

Adhering to the principles of transparency and justice, we cannot but inform the potential buyer of these circumstances.

At the present stage, the rest of the benefactors have either delivered their undertakings or confirmed the payment procedure by contract relations. Among theme are Rinat Akhmetov, president of the Ukraine’s Development Charitable Foundation, Vadym Novinsky, President of the Smart Holding Company, Viktor Pinchuk, head of the Viktor Pinchuk Foundation Social Initiative All-Ukrainian charitable organization, People’s Deputy Borys Kolesnikov, philanthropist James Temertey, and this list is far from complete.

All the works are conducted in accordance with the decision of the Supervisory Board of the Children’s Hospital of the Future charitable program. The hospital’s design was made by the French-British BDP Consortium. The project was highly appraised in the architects’ circles and recognized one of the world’s best. In 2009 the Kyiv Council allotted a land plot for the hospital construction , where all the necessary research (geological, hydrogeological, geodesic, etc.) have been conducted. All the necessary permits have been received. At present the project was submitted for the comprehensive state expert examination, after which the construction works will start. All the raised funds are on a deposit account at the state Ukreximbank.

The Ukraine 3000 ICF and Children’s Hospital of the Future CF inform that they will protect their interests and those of other donators through every legal way possible. Still, we remain open for cooperation.
