Ukraine 3000 Foundation Sends Its Greetings to Medical Workers on Their Professional Holiday
21 June 2009 16:24
Dear Colleagues,
The profession you have chosen deserves highest esteem, many sincere words, admiration, and respect. The skills and knowledge of a doctor, saving people’s lives and protecting happiness of thousands of people, have always enjoyed respect as a special gift. Nothing has changed in the thousands of years: neither people’s desire to be healthy, nor their gratitude to their rescuers, nor special requirements to those dealing with the most sacred things – people’s lives and health.
This year we face this holiday with hope, as always. Naturally, we ask ourselves if everything will happen the way we want it to. Today, a facelift is not enough for this sphere: we are facing radical changes, which explains both people’s great expectations and their fear that they won’t be able to find their niche in the new lifestyle. But we have to remember that united we stand, divided we fall. Our forte is our desire to defend each other’s interests. The aspiration to work for people’s sake is an integral part of a medical man’s work.
Should we be scared by persistent work? Is conquering new summits something new to us? Should we lose our faith in the happy future? Let it be happy for you and your families, dear medical workers. Let the dawn of the new day not be a disappointment. Let you have enough strength in you for yourselves and for other people.
You deserve people’s gratitude and the state’s attention which you lacked so much. You have proved your dedication to your cause and to people not only with your painstaking work but also with your active citizenship. We hope that this enthusiasm and professional pride will never leave your souls.
We’d like to bid you a change for the better, in which we believe and for which we work. What gives us strength and hope in our waiting for the happy future? Sound health, good intentions, and sincere feelings, people around us, family happiness, the chance to raise and love our children, peace and tranquility in our houses. Let all these always be present in your lives, in spite of all changes and situations. Then the joy of life you give to your patients will beacom a rainbow over your own destiny – being of help to people.
