Kateryna Yushchenko to Visit We See the World with Our Hearts Charitable Concert

May 30, 2009, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko will visit the We See the World with Our Hearts charitable concert, a part of the all-Ukrainian charitable action dedicated to the International Children’s Day, organized by the Ukrainian House and Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation.
The event will start at 12:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian House, Kyiv.
300 Ukrainian children with impaired sight, students of Yakiv Batyuk Kyiv Boarding School No.5 for Blind Children and Special Kyiv Arts and Esthetics Boarding School No. 11 for Children with Weak Sight, will render Ukrainian and world classics, accompanied by a symphony orchestra. The concert was prepared by volunteers of the Music Camp International charitable organization, leaded by Constance Fortunato (USA).
It is expected that the event will be attended by Minister of Ukraine for Family, Youtgh, and Sports Yuri Pavliuk, Minister for Health Care Vasyl Kniazevych, Minister for Culture and Tourism Vasyl Vovkun, director of A-BA-BA-HA-LA-MA-HA Publishing House Ivan Malkovych, president of the Friends of the Children charitable foundation Maryna Krysa, representatives of the Soong Ching-ling all-China Charitable Foundation, and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine Mr. Zhou Li.
Orphanage wards from four Ukraine’s oblasts will also attend the concert.

The all-Ukrainian charitable action dedicated to the international children’s day will take place at the Ukrainian House May 29 – June 1, 2009. Its key event will be the Beneficial Children’s Book Fair with the participation of leading Ukrainian publishing houses, featuring presentations, autograph sessions by renowned Ukrainian writers, and entertainment for children. Also, there will be a fundraiser and collecting book donations for Ukrainian boarding schools, all-Ukrainian ice cream festival, competitions, and concerts.
Music Camp International focuses on introducing children to the world of music, giving special attention to orphans and socially unprotected children. The uniwue Fortunato’s method allows to teach children with no musical background hoe to sing in choir and play musical instruments within one week.
We See the World with Our Hearts project is aimed at drawing public attention to people with impaired sight and to shoe that every person has unlimited possibilities and anyone’s life can be full and interesting no matter what their physical condition is.
