
Ukraine 3000 Foundation Representatives Meet with Lombardy Leaders

May 22, 2009, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko, being on a working trip in Italy, met with the leaders of the Lombardy region council.
Among the participants of the meeting were first vice president of the Lombardy region council Valerio Lucchini, assessor on health care Luciano Bresciani, director of the development progtams and international medical projects department Carlo Corti, general consul of Ukraine in Milan Volodymyr Yatsenkivsky, Head of the Board of Directors of Ukraine 3000 Foundation Oleksandr Maksymchuk, Director of the Medical Programs Department Vira Pavliuk, representatives of the L.I.CO.S. Onlus international cooperation laboratory and Ukraine 3000 Foundation.
Leaders of the Lombardy region council told the Ukrainian guests about medicine-related initiatives, implemented in the region. In her turn, Mrs. Yushchenko described the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s medical programs and projects. She thanked the hosts for supporting Ukrainian medicine and treating Ukrainian children, giving her high opinion of the L.I.CO.S. Onlus cooperation with Ukraine 3000 Foundation and Ukrainian children’s hospital within the framework of the MELO project.
The parties exchanged keepsake presents. The Italian official gave Kateryna Yushcenko a photo album and books dedicated to Lombardy, while Mrs. Yushchenko presented them with a Petrikivka-painted dish and a book on Ukraine in Italian.
Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Foundation members are in Italy on a working trip on an invitation from L.I.CO.S. Onlus international cooperation laboratory. Earlier they have visited L’Ospedale Civile di Brescia hospital in Brescia and took part in signing working documents between Ukrainian and Italian doctors.
