08 May 2009 16:10
May 10 Ukraine celebrated Mother’s Day. The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation greets all women, those already with children and those yet to experience the joy of being a mother.
One of the Ukraine 3000 Foundation’s priorities is protecting mothers’ and children’s health. The Hospital to Hospital program was launched in 2005, within whose framework we support 25 hospitals in all Ukraine’s oblasts. In the years of this program’s work, our hospitals have received charitable aid from the Foundation and its partners to the total of over 32 million hryvnias. Another project, designed for addressing issues related to giving aid to seriously ill children, is the All-Ukrainian Center to Protect Mothers’ and Children’s Health, a.k.a. Children’s Hospital of the Future project.
Mother is a central figure in any child’s life. Thus, we gladly announce the start of a new action for mothers-to-be.
To celebrate Mother’s Day, the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation decided to donate the Complete Book of Mother & Baby Care to every maternity welfare center in Ukraine, registered with the Ministry of Health Care. According to MHC data for 2008, there are 476 such centers operating in Ukraine, with 89 of them – at maternity hospitals. The Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation will donate several copies to each of them.
The Complete Book of Mother & Baby Care by Elisabeth Fenwick discusses issues related to pregnancy and childcare from birth till 36 months. The book is meant for broad public, has many good illustrations, and is an easy read.
In 2005-2006, the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation run an action, distributing this book among future mothers, which aroused great interest among women.
For every woman being a mother is a great joy and a great responsibility. The Ukraine 3000 Foundation bids every mother lots of patience, inspiration, and a healthy and happy future for their families.
