The Living Presented at Visions du Råel International Documentary Festival in Switzerland

April 26, 2009, Head of the Supervisory Board of the Ukraine 3000 International Charitable Foundation Kateryna Yushchenko took part in a reception dedicated to the presentation of Ukrainian cinema at the Visions du Råel international documentary cinema festival (Nyon, Switzerland). The event was organized by the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation and Nemiroff international brand name.

Also present at the reception were the festival founders Moritz and Erika de Hadeln, Director of Visions du Réel festival Jean Perret, honorary president of the festival Jean Schmutz, Nyon mayor Daniel Rosselat, permanent representative of Ukraine at the UN and other international organizations in Geneva Mykola Maymeskul, head of the Nemiroff Holding board of directors Oleksandr Hlus, director of the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation Andriy Khalpakhchi, director Serhiy Bukovsky, and Ukraine 3000 Foundation members.

The Visions du Réel [Visions of Reality] festival is held April 23-29 in Nyon. It will present The Living film by Serhiy Bukovsky, created on commission from Ukraine 3000 Foundation.

Mrs. Yushchenko presented to the audience The Living film and its director Serhiy Bukovsky. She narrated the history of this film, created to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Holodomor manmade famine, and described the activities of the Ukrainian Cinema Foundation.

Kateryna Yushchenko thanked all those who made it possible for Ukraine to be represented at the Visions du Réel.

Mrs. Yushchenko and Ukraine 3000 Foundation members were to Nyon for a two-day visit, taking part in the Visions du Råel international documentary cinema festival events. April 25 they attended a soiree celebrating the 40th anniversary of the festival.
